We celebrate the Epiphany on 6th January, this is the day we remember the visit of the Wise Men to Bethlehem. They came from the East and when they found Jesus they bowed down and worshipped him and then they presented him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh.
This year we are planning to mark the Epiphany with a Day of Prayer. We ask all parishioners to make time, at the beginning of a New Year, to pray specifically for the ministry and mission of the parish. Please use the magazine to help focus your prayers on what’s happening and what’s being planned.
As the Wise Men came to worship Jesus, the new-born King, we invite as many parishioners as possible to come to Church to pray find out here.
Our Day of Prayer, in Church, will begin with a short prayer service in Holy Trinity Church at 9.00am and Holy Trinity Church will remain open for prayer until 9.00pm. There will also be short prayer services at 12.30am and 8.30pm
There will be a short prayer service in St Patrick’s Church 10.00am and St Patrick’s Church will remain open for prayer until 12.00 (noon), with a second prayer service at 11.30am.
Do come and be part of it.
